A Finger Painting Mess

I finally made some finger paint for E.

As I set it up for her I remember thinking how the process would go:  She would dip her fingers in (perhaps I would need to show her how to spread it on the paper), she might get some on the table and a little on her clothes and in the end we would have something to hang on the fridge. 

Well...it almost happened like that.

Things started out well. I was proud of her co-ordination and care.

and then her artistic flair kicked in...

Nothing a hose and a bath couldn't fix though.

And, we did get something to hang on the fridge.

Easy finger paint recipe:

1/2 cup flour
1/2 water (more for thinner paint)
food colouring
