The Morning Babble

Standing outside our daughter's room this morning I could hear some very excited 'chit chat' and squeals of delight as she no doubt jumped from one end of her cot to the other.  At times like this I wish there was a peep hole into her room!  She proceeded to chat away to whatever piece of clothing she had managed to grab from her change table, or maybe it was the birds on her doona.  Whatever it was, she was having a great time in there.

There was a time when whenever we would collect her from her cot she would show us with great delight the owls on her quilt.  It didn't matter that she had shown us already that morning, or 3 times the day before, it was still a great discovery to point them out again.  One day I washed that quilt. When she woke up from her nap she went to point straight at the spot where the owls usually are.  When she couldn't see them she searched under her doona and all around the cot.  Still not being able to find them she decided she should point to something and, with the same amount of delight and enthusiasm, pointed out the repetitive pattern of flowers on her cot sheet.  Funny girl!

I love this quote
There are no seven wonders of the world in the eyes of a child.  There are seven million.  ~Walt Streightiff

Not really wanting to interrupt her, but really wanting to see what she was doing, I opened her door.  This is who greeted me.

I just love her!
